Located in the Australia desert, this "factory" of energy solar will be the highest building in the world and also the most ambitious project to generate electricity from a clean source…
The biggest project for producing solar energy on the planet is being built in Mildura, in the middle of the Australian desert.
A tower of 1 kilometre height by 130 metros de diameter, which will be the highest building in the world when getting ready in 2009, will be erected in the centre of a huge solar panel of 20 square kilometres.
A tower of 1 km in height by 130 meters in diameter, which will be the highest building in the world when getting ready in 2009, will be erected in the centre of a huge solar panel of 20 square kilometres.
If all goes as planned, the heat generated by the panel will form a stream of air up to 50 kilometres per hour in the huge chimney, enough to move 32 turbines, generating 200 megawatts of energy supply and up to 1 million people.
The giant project gives an idea of how much, renewable sources like the sun and the wind begins to attract our attention and are becoming more reliable.
The film is approximately 3 minutes and worth seeing!
